The Beginning

You can do it. It’s possible.  It’s a cliche, I know.

I don’t want to be Tony Robbins, or the newest self-help book; I just want the readers of this blog to realize that sometimes dreams aren’t as unachievable as you’d imagine.

So, if you’re like me and love to travel, follow along and see how you can travel affordably and frequently.  Don’t wait to travel once every few years, spending lots on expensive guided tours and hotels, when you can stretch those vacations into many more!

For most of my trips, I try to stay within the $1000 a week budget.  That’s including flights, food, transportation, accommodation and souvenirs.  Of course, this doesn’t always work, as it is a very frugal budget; but I have had success most of the time.

In the past 2 years, I’ve gone to the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, New York, Tokyo, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Yellowstone National Park and Iceland.  This is paid for with my own money, working as a part-time nurse and living on my own paying rent.

It’s possible.
